These patriotic funfetti blondies are soft, chewy dessert bars filled with festive red, white, and blue candy pieces and rich buttery vanilla flavor. Perfect for summer celebrations, cookouts, Memorial Day, and 4th of July gatherings.

Ingredients

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted

1 1/2 cups (300g) brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup red, white, and blue candy-coated chocolates or sprinkles

1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and glossy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.
  4. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold gently until just combined without overmixing.
  5. Stir in the red, white, and blue candy-coated chocolates and white chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set but still slightly soft.
  8. Allow the blondies to cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

Swap candy colors or sprinkles to match different holidays and celebrations.

Add chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch and texture.

Milk chocolate or dark chocolate chips can replace white chocolate chips.

For softer blondies, slightly underbake and allow them to finish setting while cooling.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Freeze bars for up to 2 months with parchment paper between layers.

Microwave individual bars for 10–15 seconds before serving for a warm, gooey texture.
