This Tin Roof Sundae is a nostalgic ice cream parlor dessert layered with creamy vanilla and chocolate ice cream, rich sauces, and crunchy Spanish peanuts. The sweet and salty combination makes it an indulgent treat perfect for movie nights, parties, or summer desserts.

Ingredients

1 to 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

1/4 cup chocolate sauce

1 to 2 scoops chocolate ice cream

1/4 cup marshmallow sauce

1/4 cup skin-on Spanish peanuts

Instructions

  1. Place the vanilla ice cream scoops into a tall soda glass or dessert dish.
  2. Drizzle the vanilla ice cream generously with chocolate sauce.
  3. Add the chocolate ice cream scoops on top of the vanilla layer.
  4. Spoon the marshmallow sauce over the chocolate ice cream, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  5. Sprinkle the sundae generously with skin-on Spanish peanuts.
  6. Serve immediately while cold and creamy.

Notes

Use hot fudge sauce instead of chocolate sauce for a richer dessert.

Add whipped cream and a maraschino cherry for a classic diner-style presentation.

Swap Spanish peanuts with almonds, pecans, or cashews if desired.

Chill the serving glass before assembling to help prevent melting.

For a dairy-free version, use plant-based ice cream and dessert sauces.
